Runar has been a top executive for 40 years and has extensive experience from both national and international companies. As the founder of Narum Gruppen, he is excited to embark on a new journey with Narum Partners.
Runar is educated as an electronics and computer engineer and holds a degree in business economics. He has completed an executive leadership program at IMD Business School and is a certified coach (ICF).
Runar has worked in the private sector as CEO of Gjensidige Fredrikstad, Group CEO of Ajilon Nordic, Managing Director of Fredrikstad Football Club (FFK), Managing Partner at Narum Gruppen, and Director at Finansforbundet.
Runar has personally experienced the uncertainty of being between jobs. After a turbulent period at FFK, he chose to resign without having another position lined up. The answers to what he should do next came through coaching conversations with partner Signe Lise Narum. This collaboration eventually led him to the top executive role at Finansforbundet – a position he held for 13 years.
He brings with him valuable experience to support those in leadership roles who want to succeed where they are today—whether it’s establishing leadership teams, structural changes, organizational cleanups, or downsizing processes. In addition, he has a broad network within the Norwegian finance industry and business sector, enabling him to connect candidates with their next dream job.
Runar combines charismatic authority with genuine warmth, making him a valuable and trusted conversational partner.
