The new risk landscape – when democracy can no longer be taken for granted

Welcome to a highly relevant Berikelse event with Ingjerd Schou.

Geopolitical tensions are rising. Trust in institutions is being challenged. Fewer citizens participate in democratic processes, while authoritarian currents are gaining ground across Europe.

What does this mean for leaders, organisations, and the stability of society?

Tuesday, 16 June 2026 | 16:00–17:30
We invite you to informal networking and light refreshments from 16:00.
The presentation begins at 16:30 – followed by continued dialogue and discussion.

Ingjerd Schou is a distinguished societal leader with extensive experience at the intersection of politics, public administration, and strategic execution. With a background as Hospital Director and Senior Project Director at South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority, combined with several years in national politics, parliamentary work, and the Council of Europe, she has worked closely with decisions shaping both society and the framework conditions for Norwegian business.

In this presentation, Ingjerd highlights key developments leaders should pay particular attention to — from weakening trust in elected officials, to a political landscape where authoritarian forces are gaining influence. This is not merely about politics; it concerns risk awareness, strategic orientation, and responsible leadership in an increasingly unpredictable environment.

Berikelse offers engaging conversations — a space for professional insight, inspiration, and meaningful networking.

The presentation is particularly relevant for senior executives, board members, and other decision-makers seeking to understand the forces shaping tomorrow’s room for action.
